As a Real Estate Investment and Home Service Professional over the past 25 years, I've designed, supplied and managed hundreds of projects. I've also, found, fixed and flipped properties for myself and others. Ultimately, delivering lifestyle improvement, not just home improvement results!
The Rehab Squared idea was born in 2012 while sitting in a wheelchair waiting for 3 hrs of daily PT - physical therapy, after bi-lateral total hip replacement ... yes, they were both replaced simultaneously the same day. Learning how to walk again became the most immediate goal. It was a seven day, in-patient process that continued on for the next 6 months as an out-patient! I was 49 years young, and pondering how to leverage my personal passion with my professional experience and ambition. While waiting, I had a chance to talk with other patients. I learned, many were the primary caregiver for a loved one too. Now a familiar story pattern had emerged. Most people still wanted or needed their's, or a love one's (mostly parents) home rehabbed. But since they had to focus on getting physically stable, all home rehab desires took a secondary position to physical rehab. The most common renovation requests, either personal or for a loved one, were DREAM kitchens & baths, outdoor living area, and wider doors, hallways and ramps. After reflecting on all of these stories, Rehab Squared was envisioned. A place where helping people live their DREAMS while their bodies were getting rehabbed, I would rehab their's or a love one's home, which also rehabbed communities and neighborhoods, ultimately providing lifestyle improvement, not just home improvement services.
