RehaB sTORY
The "back story!" Originally, this was a wholesale purchase, aka "paper" flip. Along the journey, it quickly became a property and community where I wanted to raise children, and "build" a HOME, not just buy a house. As a real estate investor, I was looking for properties to wholesale for the business but simultaneously I was also searching for my own new house and community.
Since my wife and I met at Monmouth University, a beach community, and we really enjoy the beach, our new home search was narrowed to Monmouth County, NJ. When I found this property in Bergen County, NJ, we'd already committed to another house, and my wife had accepted new employment in Monmouth County. As you can imagine, there was a lot of scrambling, which had nothing to do with rehabbing our newly purchased property.
We had a lot to do ... from getting my son enrolled into school, to moving in with two different relatives (mother-in-law and sister) as well as complete the estimated 4 month rehab, which actually took 6 months.
